14 Fun and Festive Holiday Tree Garlands

I’m obsessed with different takes on holiday garland! Holiday Garland Hacks if you will. Here are 14 of my ideas in a fun video….I hope they inspire you to think of something that may be “not so traditional”!

1. Fabric Scraps (6″x 2″ fabric scraps tied onto a piece of jute)
2. Paper Drinking Straws (cut straws in half and thread onto fishing line with a needle punched through the center of the straws)
3. Carnations and Candy Canes (Carnations threaded onto a fishing line with a needle/with candy canes hung between each)
4. Marshmallows (Marshmallows of all sizes threaded onto a fishing line with a needle)
5. Bling (vintage brooches pinned onto a beautiful ribbon)
6. Circus Peanuts (The candy!! Threaded onto a fishing line with a needle)
7. Jelly Beans (Threaded onto a fishing line with a needle)
8. Dyed Pasta (Penne pasta put into a ziplock bag with food coloring and rolled around to coat pasta/pour out onto a paper lined baking sheet to dry/thread through the pasta with a piece of yarn)
9. Children’s Hair Barrettes (Colorful small hair barrettes clipped onto yarn)
10. The Judy (copies of Judy Garland pictures cut out and clipped onto a piece of jute with colorful clothes pins)
11. Canning Jar Lids (Just the ring part! Strung onto a piece of beautiful ribbon…they make a wonderful holiday sound!)
12. Paper Airplanes (Small paper airplanes threaded onto fishing line with a sharp needle)
13. Cupcake Liners (Colorful Cupcake liners threaded onto fishing line with a sharp needle…make sure to change up the direction)
14. Popcorn (The classic!!! Threaded onto fishing line with a needle)
