When you put up a sprinkle-inspired tree it’s only customary that you wrap your gifts accordingly. Sure, we could have sprinkled some wrapping paper, but the tree was so busy, we wanted the presents to be a little “less than”. Kind of JV to the Varsity tree you know. So why not just make some fun sprinkle-inspired ribbon! So stinkin’ cute and perfect under our tree.
DIY Sprinkle Ribbon
makes 1 personal gift wrap element
Libbie’s Tip: pair with pom pom, yarn, and coordinating paper to complete a personal gift wrap
What you need:
1 roll great quality silk ribbon (preferably white or cream)
5-6 fun colored markers (sharpie brand works best)
1 pair sharp scissors
What to do:
1. Trim Ribbon Length: With ribbon unraveled, wrap the gift box you are wrapping three times around with ribbon and cut to length. This will give you enough ribbon to wrap the gift in various ways. I like to attach yarn pom-poms and work in yarn wherever I can for different textures.
2. Mark Ribbon: With marker in hand, create small hatch marks directly onto ribbon (overlapping is okay). Repeat with each additional color.
3. Wrap Gift: After hatch marks dry, wrap your gifts with the fun sprinkle ribbon you created!
