The ombre of the turnip skin was the inspiration for this hand painted gift wrap.

Ombre Gift Wrap
(lilac to white…kind of turnip like)

What you need:
White butcher’s paper or wrapping paper
Water
Lilac colored craft paint
2-inch wide paint brush

What to do:
1. Roll out a 4 foot length of paper on a craft table (one that can get messy). Cover your floor with a tarp (trust me).
2.Mix the paint with water for a watery consistency.
3.Wet the length of paper.
4. Dip the paint brush into the paint and drag from one end of the paper up to nearly the end. The start end of the paper should be a darker color and it will gradually get lighter creating an ombre effect. Allow to dry and repeat process with other lengths of paper.
5. Have fun wrapping your gifts!!
