It may have taken him awhile, but my husband has jumped on the “think outside the dining room” bandwagon. He appreciates a special hot chocolate moment in a cozy corner almost as much as a 5 course meal at the head of an elaborately set dinner table (baby steps). For this hot beverage break, I set a small table with a few of our favorite things including the best honey hot chocolate poured over embarrassingly huge homemade marshmallows (look for the recipe this week). We both love Bertjan Pot’s Random Light, but it’s not in our tight home building budget right now, so I decided to draw one on the chalkboard wall to modernize and inspire our little marshmallow moment –add a pom-pom embellished cable knit throw and that’s enough cozy for a lifetime.
