I couldn’t tell you the last time I bought a “proper” napkin. I’d much rather hit up a cool fabric store and buy cotton yardage and tear it to make my own homespun chic dabbers.
I use them at home and in my work as a stylist.
I’ve torn them cocktail napkin size for excessively large parties and torn them dinner napkin size for more intimate gatherings.
At a recent party in NYC the colorful torn fabric napkins at each place setting were fashioned into pocket squares by more than a few creative and tipsy gentlemen. It was a good night.
