Monogrammed Swim Caps

Written and Produced by Libbie Summers

Summertime fashion should ALWAYS involve cheeky swimwear and personalized accessories!

Note: This process is NOT permanent! Do it for a pool party and peel it off after!

Supplies:
A swim cap
Various colors of fingernail polish
Book
Colored Sharpies (optional)
Directions:
Stretch your swim cap around a flat book big enough to stretch the cap out. Paint on your design with your fingernail polish and allow to dry before wearing. (Note: Want something more permanent? Use sharpie markers to draw on your design then paint over with the fingernail polish. When the fingernail polish is peeled away, the monogram and design is still left.)

The Clothes: Purple Vintage-inspired Swimsuit (Nordstrom, Profile by Gottex(similar)), Black Bandeau Top (J. Crew, Italian Matte Tipped Bandeau Top in Black), Striped One-piece (Target, Girl’s 1-piece Striped Swimsuit (similar))
The Accessories: Vintage Flowered Swim Cap (Habersham Antiques Market), Black and White Vintage Swim Cap (Property of Brooke Atwood), White Swim Cap (Speedo), Cabana Striped Yellow Towel (Sears), Orange Pool Ring (Target, (similar in price))

  1. Interesting way to decorate a cap. Can’t last long tho when it is stretched over the head!!!

  2. You are right Martin! We did stretch it over a large book before we painted it so it would look great on the head. This is for the non swimming showy girl who doesn’t like to get her hair wet at the pool party! 🙂
