The bunt is back in a big way! It’s butter week and I’m going triple butter with this bunt beauty. Butter in the batter, a browned butter soak after and slathered with a browned butter frosting just to be cheeky! So good. So easy. So buttery.

Browned Butter Frosting (recipe to follow)
What to do:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Generously butter and flour a 10-inch bundt pan. Set aside.
In the bowl of a standing mixer, add the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda. With the mixer on low, add the buttermilk and butter. When thoroughly mixed together add the eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition. Add in the vanilla.
Spoon batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake until a toothpick inserted int he center of the cake comes out clean (about an hour).
While the cake is baking make the Browned Butter Slurry and Frosting.
When the cake comes out of the oven (and still in the pan), prick holes all over and slowly pour the slurry over the cake. Let cool before removing from pan. Slather frosting over the top of the cake. .
Browned Butter Slurry
(sweet nutty syrup)
1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste
In small saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and cook just until the milk solids that have fallen to the bottom of the pan start to brown slightly. Lower heat to low and stir in the sugar and water and cook just until the sugar fully dissolves (this won’t take long). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla paste.
1 cup butter
1 cup confectioners sugar
In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and cook just until the milk solids that have fallen to the bottom of the pan start to brown slightly. Remove from heat and refrigerate until just solid again. Add browned butter and confectioners sugar to a standing mixer or a bowl with a hand mixer and whip until light and fluffy.
