Stone fruits are perfect for grilling. Start with a firm fruit, hot grill, perfect toppings and big smile.
Candace said this looked like a “Welcome to Denny’s” shot…so naturally I had to keep it.
Grilled Peaches with Blue Cheese and Honey
serves 12
Ingredients:
6 firm peaches, halved and pitted (Check out this fun Peach Pitting 101 video)
4 ounces quality blue cheese (I use Maytag), broken into large pieces
4 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Heat grill or grill pan to high heat. Place peach halve flesh side down on the hot grill and cook until lines are charred on the peach. Peaches are like fish, they will release easier when fully cooked, so don’t try to remove from the grill until completely charred. Remove to peaches to platter and immediately top with blue cheese. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with walnuts. Serve immediately.
Note: This dessert is perfect for a dessert bar. In my case a dessert cart….a vintage bar cart turned dessert cart. Check out how perfect it is HERE.
